The time has come for me to say goodbye to this, my own little corner of the internet. As you've probably noticed over the past few weeks (honestly...months) I haven't been blogging much. There are many reasons for this - first and foremost is I haven't felt that I have much to say. For a while now I've been feeling that my blog doesn't have a clear direction and my original intent in setting out on this blogging journey was not simply to create an online diary, but to contribute something meaningful to the web and the blogging community. What that is/was I really don't know.
I've found so many great and inspiring blogs over the past year+ of blogging, and I appreciate all of my readers and commenters more than you'll ever know. You are what make blogging worth it and it is for you that I feel this sense of needing to either contribute something meaningful...or nothing at all.
So I've decided to take an indefinite hiatus from the Mrs.Bliss blog. The next 4 months are going to be crazy busy at work, and I'm hoping to spend what little time I have away from work enjoying time with my husband, family and friends - and can't justify spending more time in front of the computer at this point. When inspiration strikes again I may or may not come back - or maybe start another blog for some other currently unknown purpose.
For now all I can say is thank you so much for your support, comments, inspiration, kind words, encouragement, advice and bloggy-love. I wish you all the best with your own blogging endeavors!
Thank you and goodbye.

Flat Hair Help Needed
Today I'm suffering from a serious case of flat-hair. I woke up, ran, showered, used my usual product to add a little volume (Aveda Phomollient Styling Foam) and then blowdried and ran the flat-iron through the ends of my hair. Come 4:00 my hair (especially across my forehead) is flat and lifeless. How do you girls keep your hair big and beautiful? Do you have any products (specifically after shampoo/conditioner) that you would recommend?

Take me out to the ball game
Mr.Buck and I are headed to Safeco Field tonight for a Mariners Baseball game. Despite living very close to downtown Seattle we rarely make it into the city for fun activities like this - so tonight we're taking advantage of some free tickets our friends got through work and all meeting up for the game. Unfortunately the weather's not great and even though it's August I'm bringing along a sweatshirt and coat, arm warmers, a scarf, socks and shoes (currently I'm wearing sandals). It may sound like overkill but with an open stadium it can get pretty frigid in there!

mmmmm, Butter!
It would appear that most people had the same thought as me after seeing Julie & Julia...get the book! Though I havent actually gone out and purchased "Mastering the Art of French Cooking" I certainly wanted to run to the nearest Barnes & Noble immediately upon exiting the theater. Reconciling those recipes with my strive to lose 10 pounds is another story...
Seeing this movie made me want to do 3 things - Blog with a purpose, cook and EAT! Don't go hungry to see this movie!

Candy Land in San Fran
We all know San Francisco is a colorful city - but apparently on Wednesday they upped the fun-factor by turning Lombard Street "the worlds crookedest street" into Candy Land!
According to the article "Lombard St. was transformed into a gigantic Candy Land board game to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the game. The Candy Land board game was designed by Eleanor Abbott while she recovered from polio in the 1940's. The game consists of a winding, linear track of 134 spaces. It is built around a simple story line about finding the lost king of Candy Land."
Here's wishing all of you a fun and whimsical Friday!

Beware of Vampires and Werewolves!
I just realized that the camping trip Mr.Buck and I have had planned with some of our friends for this weekend is going to put us in the heart of Twilight country!! That's right, we'll be camping near Forks, WA and even hiling in the Quinault Forest! This was totally un-planned and I olny just realized the coincidence. Now I'm campaigning for a stop in Forks to visit the Forks Twilight Tour where you can see the Cullen's house, Bella's house, even her truck, the high-school and the hospital where there is a spot reserved for Dr. Cullen!
And to cap it all off, I'm subjecting Mr.Buck and his friend from the fraternity to movie night tonight so that us wives can finally see the Twilight movie now that we've finished reading the books! (another un-planned coincidence! They ended up havign the movie from Netflix and invited us to watch with them!)
Yes, I am apparently a closet Twilight nerd! Don'w worry, I'll keep an eye out for any vampires or werewolves (yes I know technically they are "shape-shifters") that we may see while we're out there!
